Memo started his dog carrier as a ring steward in the local KC in his hometown Saltillo Mexico. He has been an All Breed Handler for over 20 years. He has had the opportunity to show dogs Internationally in the U.S, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Cuba, Puerto Rico and Finland Memo won his first BIS in December of 1994.
He is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, with a degree from UNAM with a thesis entitled: “Care and Grooming of Dog’s Harsh Coat” in which he described in detail the diseases of the skin as well as the grooming of 56 different breeds. During the year 1995, he resided in the U.S. working under the guidance of the renowned handler Clay Coady.
He lived in Mexico City for several years and some time in Guadalajara. Shortly he got married to Marlene Mastellari, who moved from Panama after several years of breeding Shi-Tzu’s and Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Marlene worked as a groomer and professional handler for several years.
In 2004 they moved to Arizona where they have been working together showing all breeds across the US mastering in hounds, sporting, working and toys breeds.
Memo started to teach handling classes in 2004. In 2005 he built the Dog community website.
After several years of education and passing exams in the Mexican Kennel Club Judges Institute in 2016. He started judging all breed in Mexico. It is an activity that he enjoys so much that is helping to refine his knowledge in the type and movement of several breeds.
